IMs keep tumbling, Nitin and Mohit beats GMs

One of the many signs of a strong playing field is - strong titled players having a tough time against untitled players. Lots of IMs suffered a loss in the second round. IM Nitin S defeated GM Raset Ziatdinov (USA) in Round 2. Mohit S got the better of GM Saptarshi Roy in Round 3.

Ameya - Viresh

Position after 20...Rxc4

Viresh Sharnarthi (2084) made a very nice exchange sacrifice 20...Rxc4! Black is not worried about recovering the exchange. IM Ameya Audi (2422) needed to be careful about capturing it safely. 21.Nxc4 allowed the knight on the rim, to get in the action Naxc4 22.Qd1 Nb2 23.Qb3 Nbd3 Black not only managed to recover the sacrificed exchange but also arrive at an advantageous position. He had no trouble converting it into a win.
