IM Vantika Agrawal gives a simultaneous exhibition
The recent Arjuna awardee 2025, IM Vantika Agrawal is coming to Mumbai for the Sportstar Aces felicitation event - one of the well-known sports award ceremonies. After the historic Double Gold medal of the Indian Chess Teams, it is only fitting that they have awarded both our Olympiad teams as "NATIONAL TEAM OF THE YEAR"!
The award ceremony will take place on 14th February at Mumbai. Hence, Vantika was kind enough to join us on 15th February for a simultaneous exhibition at the ChessBase India Chess Club located in the Phoenix Marketcity Mall, Mumbai! She will take on 15 players in this simul from 12-2 PM IST on 15th February. Fill up this form for a chance to participate against Vantika in this simul!
The achievements of IM Vantika Agrawal
Vantika is just 22 years old at the moment, and she is one of the strongest female chess players in the country! She became an International Master in March 2023, and is rated 2411 at the moment. Her biggest achievement ofcourse is to win the Double Gold medal for the Indian Women's Team at the Chess Olympiad 2024! Vantika also won the Team Gold medal in the Online Chess Olympiad 2020, and was a part of the Women's B Team in the Chennai Chess Olympiad 2022. She also became the National Women's Chess Champion in 2022! And we have to mention the biggest award in her career so far which she got recently - Vantika Agrawal won the Arjuna award just a few days back!
Details of the Simul
Date and Time: 15th February 2025 from 12-2 PM
Venue: ChessBase India Chess Club, Atrium 5, Phoenix Marketcity Mall, Mumbai.
It will be a clock simul, where 15 participants will fight it out against Vantika. The players who give a strong fight in their games will be awarded with chess boards - signed by Vantika Agrawal herself! There will be a few special spots among these 15 participants - for HelpChess Big Believers, Teach Chess India students, chess enthusiasts from Ambit Pvt. Ltd, and a winner from the Temple of Chess pre-simul event.
How to take part?
All you need to do is fill up this Form with your details. Make sure to enter all the details correctly - as based on the responses, we will pick the candidates who will play against Vantika. We are looking for players based in/near Mumbai, so that they can travel to the ChessBase India Chess Club comfortably! The form is closing on 13th February 10 PM IST - so hurry up!
