The HelpChess Fundraiser during the 46th FIDE Chess Olympiad

Today is the final round of the 46th FIDE Chess Olympiad, bringing two weeks of exciting chess to a close. As we cheer for the players, we are also raising funds to support Indian chess players working towards their own dreams. Here is a look at the funds raised during the Olympiad and everyone who contributed to the cause.

Supporting Indian Chess

Today is the final round of the 46th FIDE Chess Olympiad, and we are all set for another exciting day of chess. After two weeks of intense games, we are now just one round away from finding out how it all ends. While we wait for the games to begin, there is one more thing we would like to do as a chess community: support the players who are working hard to build their careers and hopefully reach this stage one day.

For the past six years, the HelpChess Foundation has supported Indian chess players who need financial help on their journey. The funds raised through HelpChess have helped players in different ways. Some have used the money for coaching, some have bought laptops for training and preparation, while others have received support to travel to important tournaments.

Every player's journey is different, but the need is often the same. For a player trying to make a career out of the game, there are many expenses along the way: training material, coaching, tournament fees, travel, and accommodation. For some players, managing these expenses can be difficult even when they have the talent and dedication to go further. HelpChess Foundation was started to provide support to these players.

HelpChess fundraiser during the 46th Chess Olympiad

For the past two weeks, lakhs of viewers have followed the games through the ChessBase India livestreams. We decided to use this opportunity to once again raise funds for HelpChess. The response has been wonderful. Viewers have contributed throughout the Olympiad. Every contribution, big or small, adds to the support that can be given to Indian chess players.

As of 26th September 2026, we have raised Rs. 3,59,651.28 during the 46th FIDE Chess Olympiad.

How can you contribute

You can go to the official website www.helpchess.org. You can become a believer or a big believer in Indian chess after contributing to the cause. If you donate anything above Rs. 50,000, then you become a Big Believer!

As you go to the HelpChess.org website, you will see two options where you can contribute to becoming a believer...

... or a big believer.

Each and every person who contributes immediately gets this certificate of appreciation in their inbox.

A receipt that will help you claim 80G tax benefits when you file your income tax return.
